Fitbit Blaze, an ideal mashup of both style and fitness monitoring, is a feature-rich smartwatch sure to allure people other than atheltes. The Fitbit Blaze is a fitness tracker which is deemed to perform fairly good measurement of your diet, exercise and sleep. The small yet sharp and easy-to-access display will keep you constantly abreast of your physical activities level.
Though the new Fitbit Blaze is a step ahead of fitness trackers rivals, it still lags among the smartwatch crowd. Nonetheless, it will not stop you from trying the new fitness-smartwatch by Fitbit. If you’re planning on to go for Fitbit Blaze, better take some time to go with the Fitbit Blaze review first.
Fitbit Blaze review
Display

The Blaze comes with a nice and bright display with a rubber band that fairly makes for a fine smartwatch. It’s a decent fitness tracker with intuitive buttons that gives you nice feel. Though, the company has added some thick bezels which have wasted a lot of space of the screen, I find watch’s face perfectly good for wrist.
The screen of the Blaze is colorful and bright which means you don’t need a high-res display on this particular device. Sometimes the screen is unresponsive, like there are number of times when I have tapped on the screen and nothing happened.
Blaze is the Fitbit’s first product with a color touchscreen. The button on the left side of the watch serves a purpose of home and back command button. The two buttons on the right side can be used to control volume of the device.
The band of the watch itself is very impressive. It is made up of flexible elastomer rubber material which is quite durable. The stainless steel buckle adds more to its look and is coupled with a rubber interlocker that holds the band neatly on the wrist.
The face of the watch can also be popped out and can be placed in another band and frame easily.
Software

Rather than Android wear or Tizen, the Blaze runs on Fitbit’s own software which means you are restricted only to the functionalities that the watch offers within the box.
Features

To enjoy the pre-loaded features in your watch swipe to the left of the watch’s screen. On moving to the left, you will notice an app called Today, which will show you your heart rate, steps, miles walked, calories burnt, stairs climbed and your resting beat throughout the day.
To compare your stats with the past days and to get more out of the watch, you can download Fitbit app on your phone.
With the Exercise app provided in the Fitbit Blaze, you can keep an eye on the exercises you are doing. The watch also monitors your run, bike, treadmill steps, elliptical and workouts.
Another interesting feature that Blaze comes with is Fitstar, which provides you workout suggestions and tests about how efficiently you have done a particular exercise. Fitstar comes with some workout apps like Warm It Up, 7 Minute Workout and 10 Minute Abs.
The watch also comes with alarms, timers and settings menu to customize things according to your requirements. Form the watch’s face, you can pause, skip or play your device’s music at the time of workouts.
Nevertheless, if you are looking for a smartwatch that will provide you social media notifications from WhatsApp or Facebook, then Blaze isn’t it. It will not provide you notification from the social apps on its watch face.
Battery Life

With an ability to sustain for around 4-6 days after a full charge, Fitbit Blaze calls for stunning battery life.
Bottom line

If you are seeking a motivating activity tracker before being forced to swap your favorite headphones, Fitbit Blaze is undoubtedly the perfect partner for your active wrist to slip on.
